I am starting a novel about the chinese takeover of the world replacing the US as the leading superpower. Key points that will be expounded on are Chinese ownership of strategic military real estate around the world, ownership of the majority of world debt, military build-up, computer invasion superiority, influence of all minor world dictators such as Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela, trade imbalances, US government naivite regarding all these shifting powers and the resulting outcome.
Any other thoughts on growing chinese dominance on the rest of the world?
It would be interesting to see if immigration played a role in it at all. People wanting to live in the US made it what it is today, but if communist China keeps tightening it's grip on it's people I can't see them being a sustainable superpower.

ReplyDeleteInteresting angle on the downfall after the rise of china.I had not thought of the immigration angle. i am trying to incorporate real life events and make conspiracy theories out of them. Such as the SARS outbreak being a bioweapons lab mishap, 1999 discovery of the chinese immigrants on the cargo ship being placed here by the chinese government itself and creating a character such as Norman Tsu who works for the chinese government and also infilitrates a popular presidential candidates campaign.
